Relax in Devon with beautiful views over the River Dart
Pebble Cottage is a pretty 1800s riverside terraced cottage, recently refurbished and modernized. It offers a fully equipped kitchen/diner, come living room, modern shower-room with underfloor heating and two exceptionally comfortable double bedrooms; the second can be converted into a twin room. All rooms have new mattresses, White Company bedding and Egyptian Cotton towels.
Sitting on the Kingswear hillside it enjoys unimpeded views of both the historic Naval College, the town of Dartmouth and upriver. Sun-baked afternoons and long evenings are spent on two terraces; out front an outdoor dining area and to the rear a restful chill-out space.
The River Dart buzzes with events throughout the year and ashore in both Kingswear and Dartmouth there are plenty of fabulous pubs, excellent restaurants, a local market and independent shopping. Afloat the Dart is an ideal environment for every watersport imaginable; a nautical mecca and hosts the annual Dartmouth Royal Regatta and a plethora of other festivals and events.
Access is by road and a direct rail link from London Paddington to Totnes (3 hours) then a short bus or taxi ride. Alternatively, the Dartmouth Steam Railway (from Paignton) chuffs in directly below the house and must be the best way to arrive for the first time in Kingswear.
Welcome to Pebble Cottage's blog, here we will update you on all the latest goings on in and around South Hams, including festivals, events, and special occasions.
